  way off topic but I need help and I think the demographic fits. Looking for a reliable and honest HVAC company for geothermal installation. Prefer one that only does normal or geothermal heat pumps, because 1. I want them to know a lot about geothermal and 2. I don't want one that is involved in peddling fossil fuels. Any recommendations or pointers to a different seattle area group?

  Well i don't know of any local HVAC that do only geothermal. Since geothermal is only a tiny fraction of the HVAC business, they would be really limiting their customer base to maybe 2%-5% of people out there. You will find the HVAC industry fraught with dishonest people with super high, redicuous mark ups on everything. Be sure to get at least 3 diffrent quotes from the HVAC company and at least 2 diffrent quotes from drillers. I ended up going with Waterfurnace (best out there by far), Greenwood Heating for the install and used Gregory Drilling for the wells. I would start with the SnoPud list of heating contractors.
