VET Recommendation? Never been to a Nanaimo Vet. My Lucy has a skin infection on her back leg. 10yr old Mini-Schnauzer.
I don't need an animal hospital. Just a nice vet with reasonable prices.
Help?!?!!?

Dr Haywood at [Nanaimo vet](http://www.nanaimovet.com) (near rutherford) was great with our diabetic cat - helping us figure out dosage based on our home testing to save costs. Based on insulin cost alone, they charged about $30 and I think Chase river was about $45. However, Chase River was also pretty good when we did have to put our cat down (they were much closer, he was 18, had a good run, both vets send cards after). I think that came to about $180 at Chase River with the group cremation.
Vet recommendation in Nanaimo We're getting a puppy in a few weeks and will be searching for a vet. Can anybody recommend a decent vet that isn't a bank breaker.
We live central Nanaimo if that matters at all.

I tried chase river, but they are just too far for me to drive. After many recommendations, I take my Sparks to the vet on Wellington http://www.nanaimovet.com They are awesome and have fair pricing! Sparky actually gets very upset if I keep him the car to grab his food. He LOVES going in.

Brett Haywood, owner and vet of Nanaimo Veterinary Hospital is a decent guy, and so is the new female vet working there. We've taken our pets there as long as we've had pets.Brett's a very honest, well humoured person and very knowledgeable. http://www.nanaimovet.com/ Prices are fair and staff are competent.
Dr. Brett Hayward at Nanaimo Veterinary Hospital. He is located on Wellington Rd. tel:+12507583985 I have been going there for 8 years. In July, my 12 year old dog was diagnosed with lymphoma. Brett Hayward is truly wonderful and treats animals as family. He helped me through this difficult process right from diagnosis, through having to eventually put her down. We were in touch every few days during this time. It was the hardest thing I have been through, but a situation that was so hard on my heart, was softened with love, compassion and genuine care I received from this clinic. I highly recommend Dr. Hayward.
