Acworth / Kennesaw / Marietta friends ~ any recommendations for favorite gp, obgyn, and dentist? need to replace recently-retired docs
Martha K. replied:
Dr. Chris Adams at Brookstone for dentist. Loved him. I also had Dr. Laura Cauthen as Gyno. She's terrific. And of course, Dr. Richard Griffith is best around as GP, but he's MDVIP which means you pay an annual membership. He was worth every penny.
Lisa B. replied:
I love Dr Pitcher, gyn in Marietta. Can't help with the gp and my dentist just retired too so I'm also searching for the perfect dentist
Staci L. replied:
Dr Mike Mulkey. Wonderful dentist. Across from the daily grind.
Michele S. replied:
Dentist- Dr. Bruce Hester has been our dentist for about 8 yrs. He and his staff are great. Obgyn- I know it's a distance, but I've been going to Northwest Women's Care on Windy Hill for the last 13+ yrs. Dr Simmons is my doctor and really good, but I almost always see the NP Sandy Pulaski. She is AWESOME. Gives lots of time. Really great with covering all issues and very easy to talk to. There office is one of the few that I actually feel like I matter and and given respect and time. Has been worth the drive. Hope this helps. Good luck.
LaSona T. replied:
I tried Dr. Cauthen - she really likes women who are in ob mode, FYI. I had some issues about 3 years ago (related to my age) that she really didn't address to my satisfaction so I moved. I also went to Bruce Hester for many years - now going to Kirk Kimmerling. He is on the forefront of everything and a complete science geek - you would LOVE him. We are with KP now so I don't get to choose my gyn anymore. Good luck!
Martha K. replied:
Dr Laura Cauthen - definitely female. She's part of an all female obgyn group near Kennestone hospital.
Mary S. replied:

We went for an emergency appointment a couple Saturdays ago-since you don't have too many options-and ended up at Conner Dental Associates and they were amazing! He was SO much cheaper than the dentist my husband saw before, for the same procedure, and he's being very thorough in what needs to be done vs what we can work with. And the office is amazing, everyone who works there does anything they can to make you, your kids, or spouse comfortable in the office! They're in the shopping center at the corner of 41/Barrett Pkwy.
Lauren B. replied:
Karen L. Stockwell in Kennesaw... I've worked for quite a few, and she truly does amazing work! She's very conservative so she will not diagnose what is not needed. You are free to pm me for any advice.
Eileen B. replied:
Acworth Station Dental Care on Cobb Pkwy in Acworth were great with my daughter. Our Medicaid is taking forever to come through after the hurricane mess and she was in so much pain. There is a $1.00 first visit coupon on their website. They gave me all of our options and when we didn't take them, they still have her meds to help and names of dentist that would take her Medicaid. Well Medicaid was still prolonged after a month of waiting and my daughter's pain was back and worse so they fit her in and did an extraction. Didn't push any of the other things on us. Kelsey the assistant is amazing and put my daughter and I at ease right away. The dentist was fast and efficient and she was in and out in about 30 min. Today is day 3 and she's doing great. And the extraction was cheaper than other places but I would have paid more here because of the wonderful service. 3329 Cobb Pkwy NW #300 770-575-9960 Dr. Maina
