Check Williams & Co, ideal independent combi c30 with flue and clock is £489. You pay slightly more for independent and logic + range but they come with 5 and 7 yr warranties if bought before end of year

MOST Pottertons are good / long lived too (but the "Suprima" or soemthing was a BIG let down). The heat exchanger is the biggest bit tho, so like having a new boiler anyway. I say if it's old, then change it now. Look into The Green Deal 'cos it might be worth going that way.
