Mary, we had to take our 8 year old yesterday, called Shelby ER to see if I could preregister him since it would take us 20 minutes to get there, was a tad more than rude and no they don't do that oh and they were super busy, so we stopped in at Urgent Care PC in Pelham, in and out in 35 minutes, that included an 8 year old getting 3 internal stitches and 4 external stitches, they were excellent
My family and I are new to this wonderful community and was curious to know if there are any summer sports clinics in Alabaster. Any info would be appreciated.
Cheryl H. replied:
If you contact the Parks and Rec Dept they *should* be able to give you some info 664-6840. There are some other things as well and I'm sure folks here can give you that info :) Welcome to the community and the page!
Contact Thompson High school. They have summer camps like basketball if that's what your looking for
Jennifer C. replied:
Vaughn Harris are you looking for a specific sport? We have lots of options at the Y including a conditioning camp. Email me at jcampbell@ymcabham.org with questions.
My dog is up for his rabies shot and I didn't know if there are any local rabies clinics coming up. Also, if someone knows a great and affordable vet in the area, I...

Montevallo Animal Clinic. $11.00

I use Alabaster Animal Clinic, on HWY 31 across from Ernest McCarty Ford. I treat my pets as if they are my own children, so I would never go to someone who does not threat them the same way. Dr. Kerins and his staff care for my cat with kindness and gentleness, and frankly the furbaby actually enjoys all the petting and attention he gets. Their rates are very reasonable, and it's usually easy to get an appointment.
Mary G. replied:
Helena Vet on 95 almost across frtom the pool..
Teri A. replied:
Countryside, Dr Hubbard is fantastic!
Marilee H. replied:
Helena vet clinic is the absolute best in town. They work with u and Dr P is GREAT. He saved my puppy and they worked with me on my bill. Couldn't find any one better.
Brandon W. replied:
I can't claim they're the cheapest by any means, but I take my dog, Lucky, to Weatherly Animal Hospital . Dr. Leedy and Dr. Brunner are both awesome and well worth the money. I started using Dr. Brunner back when I lived in Hoover at his other office, Southlake Animal Hospital because it was right around the corner from where I lived. Been with them ever since.
Tanisha D. replied:
We use Dr. Lombardo for shots. He comes once month to the Pet Supplies Plus in Pelham on 31. He is great and very affordable. He carries Heartguard and does some bloodwork as well while you wait.
Melinda N. replied:
Montevallo Animal Clinic is awesome.
Gabrielle W. replied:
We go to Alabaster Animal Clinic right across from Ernest McCarty. They are super nice people!
Peter P. replied:

Beth B. replied:
Dr. Lombardo is normally at Pet Supplies Plus in Pelham one Saturday a month holding a vaccine clinic. You'll have to call the store to find out when the next clinic is, but his rates are very reasonable.
Jennifer C. replied:
Countryside Animal Hospital. Dr. Hubbard is wonderful.
Jessica H. replied:
Alabaster Animal Clinic!! It's affordable and the Doctor is awesome!
OK in an effort to help new people in the area or even those who have been here a while, we are going to try making documents for recommendations or avoid this place...
Jessie B. replied:
Greenvale Pediatrics: I'm new to Alabaster, and so far the office staff has been absolutely helpful and friendly. My daughter sees Dr. Cosgrove. Dr. Jolly at that office has incredible reviews and comes highly recommended, but only accepts brand newborns as new patients.
Eileen D. replied:
I love Shelby OB/GYN. Their lab can sometimes be a little slow but I love both Dr. Rodriquez and Dr. Conti. Both are always happy and super helpful. Don't hesitate to take the time with you and answer any/all questions!
Hanna R. replied:
We love Sester at Greenvale Pediatrics. They are the best!! My 2 yo always gives her lots of hugs and kisses (which is a miracle honestly since they get so many shots in the first 2 years of life.):D Wouldn't go anywhere else
Lisa B. replied:
We go to Greenvale in Hoover and I love them. We used to have to give a chart number but no longer do, it didn't bother me in any case. We see Dr Anderson, but every other doctor we have seen there over the years has been good too.
Chris B. replied:
Doctor Jolly is great !!!!!!
Renee K. replied:
Alabaster Pediatrics! We love them! Our doctor left Greenvale and formed her own practice with several other doctors! The staff is great there too!!
Linda L. replied:
Shelby County OB/GYN is fabulous. Ya can get yearly & mammo. done at the same place/same day. Dr. Z is awesome !!!!!!!!!
Are there any other after hours animal clinics besides the one on Acton Road?
Elicia H. replied:
There is also one in Trussville. I think it is called Emergency Pet Care.
Macy S. replied:
Second Bessemer one. Any ER vet is pricey
Amy A. replied:
I've used Acton and Bessemer multiple times each. I prefer Bessemer and if I lived in Hoover/Vestavia again, I would drive to Bessemer. The Bessemer clinic is MUCH quicker. If you go to Acton expect to be there 6-8 hrs minimum and pray a life or death emergency doesn't come in. I have a dog that spent 10 days hospitalized at Acton and the care he received was great and I got to see him as often as I wanted. It's simply too busy for the number of staff they usually have working on most nights. Bessemer is slightly less expensive but any emergency vet is going to be fairly expensive.
Soooo nobody’s has seen these 2 together.. They have been missing since Saturday November 11.. I have checked all local and surrounding areas animal shelters and...
