All I can say is from our experience. We started having issues with the septic over a year ago. I called American Home Shield, which sent out Big E plumbing. Said that the problem was we didn't have a clean out on the outside of the house and it wasn't covered. He installed a clean out, charged us $365.00 and the very next day it was back to problems. Of course now I know what the issue was, and don't think it would've been covered. I expect that. However, the dishwasher went out a few weeks later. They sent someone else out here. Said the dish washer couldn't be fixed and tried to sell me a new one. I went online, found the manual for the darn thing, trouble shot the problem, order $12.00 part and fixed it my self. The final straw was when the Wall oven went out. Called them up, they sent some one out. The guy again said it needed to be replaced. I went up the street to a parts place in pelham, bought a $43.00 element and works like a champ. We just haven't had very good luck with American Home Shield, and did not renew our contract with them.
