Lisa Taylor Wade pet smart offers an express service that costs $11 more in the mornings on M-Th where it doesn't take 3 hrs and you can wait on them. It isn't offered on Fri or the weekends though.

I am no longer mobile, I opened a storefront on 150 in Hoover. We work by appointment and most small dogs are here for about 2 hours. I don't mind if an owner stays, but it can be a huge distraction to the pet that you are working on. Keep in mind that our grooming equipment is sharp and if you have a distracted pup that is not being still because it's sees it's Mommy it can be an accident waiting to happen. By the way, Tracy and I are the only two master certified groomers through National Dog Groomers of America.
