Looking for "Third Wave Coffee" coffee shops in Albuquerque. Where can I find the best quality?

Michael Thomas Coffee on Carlisle seems to have the best coffee, with the most knowledge and care behind it. Talk to Michael himself, as he can usually be found roasting beans right there in the cozy little store.

I really like Zendo, downtown. https://plus.google.com/103884055713901526424/about?gl=us&hl=en

Michael Thomas Coffee on Carlisle near Gibson. It's awesome.

Zendo is the bomb. I like what The Brew guys are doing, but the Zendo coffee consistently has a more distinct and better flavor.

If you're ever in Rio Rancho, try Cafe Bella. They don't offer chemex or pourover brews, but they do use locally roasted light roast beans, and they can pull a great shot. The owner really knows his stuff too. Not affiliated, just my favorite place in the metro. I also second Zendo (Downtown). They do cold brew, chemex, all that good stuff. And they roast their own beans. The Brew (Downtown) is pretty decent. The only thing is that they are single-source, so you don't get the flavor variety that comes from different regions. Those are the few I've tried here. I'm always on the lookout for more places so I'll keep an eye on this thread.

"The Brew" in downtown Gold Street goes for one of my favorites because the entire operation, from the harvest in Colombia, to the roasting and service in Albuquerque, is hosted completely inside the family. They are a friendly bunch, and have offered to my taste buds one of the better cappuccinos in the Albuquerque area. The only other place I could imagine serving good espresso is The Grove cafe, as they have the incredible Intellegentsia as their choice of roast.

Giuseppe on Gold & 3 rd is/was amazing. Have not been there recently. The ORIGINAL owner of Giuseppe's in Nob Hill recently opened his own spot called Mimmo (east of Nob Hill on Central near Morningside...) and it is wonderful. Even the Italian bike posters are back. For the best DRIP in town at a regular cafe type place that isn't pourover fancy shit, The Grove. Intelligentsia beans, and all of you third-wavers should know THAT name. ;-)

Not a coffee shop, but Red Rock Roasters on Jefferson has great coffee by the pound. Technically Second Wave and truly unsexy, but quality-oriented. Michael Thomas, obviously. The vibe in Zendo is quite unwelcoming.
Does anyone have a photo from the mod-80's of a mural that looked like a keith haring? The coffee shop was called zurich cafe, in Nob Hill (where Satellite Coffee is...
