Dallas friends: can anyone recommend a trustworthy auto mechanic close to downtown? We have a cousin whose car has given her cause to seek help.

Nancy Shull Jacob - Mechanical Excellence (Harold Andreesen) is on the border of Duncanville and Cedar Hill off of 67 (just off the south-bound side of the service road): http://www.cartalk.com/tx/southwest/128631/mechanical-excellence-incorporated . Harold knows so much, and he is very interesting and kind. Not cheap, but he'll give you an honest opinion. Hondarific (Roger Adams) is just south of the main shopping areas of Cedar Hill, also just off the southbound service road: http://www.cedarhilledc.com/Hondarific-Automotive . When some friends gave me their car a few years ago, Roger was the mechanic who came with the car, because he had been taking care of it for years. Hope that helps!
