Hi Maegen. I know you said no daycares but a lot of them have preschool programs. Arabella went to Kids R Kids for preschool and the GA pre-k program. The older they get the less "babysitting" and more teaching. The teachers at the daycares are certified.

My son did pre-K at Kids R Kids also and loved it. It was totally separate from the daycare and was taught by certified teacher. Any church program will have religious curriculum.

Check out McGinnis Woods Country Day School. It's in the Alpharetta portion of Forsyth. Amazing school with amazing teachers. NAEYC accredited. Offers infant to 8 th grade. http://www.mcginniswoods.org/

I am from the north and I agree. Up north everyone had to be licensed or degreed teachers. Here, not so much. Look into Cumming First United Methodist. Even though they are connected to the church, not much religion, if any, is taught in the classrooms. That is up to each teacher. Most have a teaching degree.

I am a stay at home mom in Jenkisnburg and have my own 3 year old daughter, (I am 30) if you would be interested in a sitter you can call me at 770-584-9422. I charge $20 a day and discount the more days so 3 days would be $50. I was babysitting other toddlers in the past, I feed them, will take them to the park, Dauset Trails, etc. Just a thought:)
