Do you actually need it for all three days? Are you driving OUT of Amsterdam? Otherwise, parking is dreadful. If you need it periodically over the course of three days, try Car2Go. They even have an app. https://www.car2 go.com/NL/en/amsterdam/ You rent it for as long as you need it. You park it, and then get another one, when you need it again...

Yup the problem was that I need to pickup on a Sunday and drop off on 1/1. Tweed New Haven Regional Airport rental counters are open but were giving very high prices - double what I was expecting. Anyway, tried #Priceline and my bid for $23/day was accepted. Much better than $60.
