Hey guys, need a little advice!
Any suggestions on a good place to buy a suit?
Also, any recommendations on a notary?
Thanks in advance :)

Hugo Boss. The best. There are sales now, too.
Peter O. replied:
then yeah, like the others mention - check out Hugo Boss or Suit Supply. Bijenkorf might also still have some sales.
Anneke M. replied:
I can highly recommend Suit Supply. They have a lot of brands, suits cost about 300 - 400 and they tailor make it for you!

Hugo Boss worked for Nazis, just saying. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugo_Boss

After years of buying suits at the suit supply I now buy my suits at Suit Inc. These suits are much cheaper but the quality is comparable with the suitsupply. suitinc.nl/pakken

I would recommand Suit Supply, located near Museumplein.
Andre R. replied:
try https://www.oger.nl/ on the PC. Hoofstraat, or http://eu.suitsupply.com/nl/home near museamplein.

I have my suits tailor made in Bangkok for €300-€500 depending on material. It takes about 4-5 days in case you had a trip there planned. If you need a (Dutch) Notaris, I use Notariskantoor Van Zaane. If you need a notary from another country you probably need to go to the embassy for citizen services.

I bought my house a few years ago but I don't imagine much has changed since then. It doesn't really matter which notary you choose from a price perspective, since their fees are pretty much the same all over. Also, the contract and the mortgage documents will be in Dutch, and by law they have to be written and read in Dutch. You can separately pay for a professional translator to accompany you and translate - I think I paid around 100 Euros for that.
crackanape replied:
> English-speaking If you are not a Dutch speaker then you'll be required to have a professional interpreter for the formal parts of the process, even though there is a near-100% chance that your notary can already speak enough English to communicate everything to you clearly.
cogito_ergo_subtract replied:
> affordable Good luck. >English-speaking They all are. I assume your broker will help you with a notary, though the people who actually have bought houses here may chime in with better information.

I recently bought an apartment and used the services of Henk Jansen from Expat Mortgages.. I found him really helpful and he does everything to help you at every step of the buying process. And the fees are tax deductible.. so are not as high as they seem. Not knowing dutch, I found him a huge help. And for the notary.. I used Notary Bellaar, Amstelveen and they are cheaper than other notaries I took an offer from. And they are very professional.. Let me know if I could help.

JM Gavino doesnt matter where this notary is. If he needs to have official papers for mortgage than around 3000 are costs for first signed contract and change of name of owner and kataster... and 1000 are final costs of sign of second contract. its not 50€

The Hypotheek shop gives free and very detailed advice on different mortgages and rates from different banks. Then u can choose one and go direct to the bank - but typically no difference is service fees. I found Rabo to have the cheapest interest rates

We got our mortgage at ING, was easy and no bullshit, just answered what we wanted to know, told us what we needed to do. All fine. If you're a member of Vereniging Eigen Huis (www.verenigingeigenhuis.nl really recommend it) you can get a cheap, quick and reliable survey of the house but also other information if you wish. Notary is not 3000 euro. We paid about 750 and that includes registration at kadaster. Translator was 151
