We just moved to yorba linda 2 months ago. I have 3 kids - 2 little ones and 1 teen ager. We kept our pediatrician even if they are located...
Missy I. replied:
Dr. Steven Kwon, my daughter and niece see him. I would recommend him first and if he is not available all the Dr.'s in that place are great and I'e probably seen each one a couple of times due to Kwon not being available. St. Jude office on Rose and Bastanchury.
Monica A. replied:
Dr Banez St Jude Medical Center, Rose n Bastanchury
Gina L. replied:
Dr. J. Kramer
Deanna C. replied:
Dr. Isterabadi
Angela E. replied:
we have been so lucky to have Dr Jeffrey Messinger caring for our 3. He understands and actually cares. He's w/eclipse medical group in A.H.
Tony M. replied:
I agree with Holly and Jessica...Caduceus has been great for us the last four years. Dr. Sheila Ponzio worked for years and I think was head at Peds at Cedars Sinai...and she is ranked in the top 50 Peds nationally in U.S. News and World Report. Check to see if she is adding patients.
Angela E. replied:
Jen Jenny these are peds. For a pediatric cardiologist, I'd go straight to CHLA
Melissa K. replied:
Dr. Halati in Anaheim Hills is awesome. Easy to talk to, understanding and you can always call their office if you have a question. They will get back right away. Eclipse Medical Group.
Michele M. replied:
Cadeuceus. Dr Ponzio is gone though We love Dr Ayad and Dr Gonzales!!!!
Cerra G. replied:
We go to Doctors for kids and teens in Orange Dr. Wong or Dr. Gorab are amazing!
Lisa B. replied:
My boys have been seen by Dr. Elsa Aguilar since birth she is awesome and is in practice with two other Dr.'s which is nice as my boys are at a point that they would like to go to a male dr... They are at Children's Medical Group of Orange County Office staff is super sweet love the nurses as well!!!
Allie M. replied:
Dr. Steve Kwon in YL is the best
Christy B. replied:
Yep. Love Dr. Kwon.
Andrea S. replied:
We like St Jude Heritage Pediatrics in YL (Rose and Bastanchury). We see Dr Isterabadi and really like her - great follow up, calls us back etc. I am comfortable seeing any doctor in that practice if Dr Isterabadi is not available. All are good but of course have a different approach. Dr Kwon is really kind and talks right to the kids. Very good approach with younger kids. We have seen others too. Dr Banez is good too - has a very tell it like it is approach which we have appreciated, especially with the older kids.
You'll love Dr. Kwon YL St. Jude office on Rose and Bastanchury . He always puts a smile on my kids faces. He also gives the kids an explanation of what is going on with their ailment.
Rebecca C. replied:
I like Dr. Roxane Engle. She is on YL Blvd, up the street from St. Martins. She is a DO, not necessarily advertised as a ped, but has small children. Years ago her 6 yr old daughter was visiting the office, for the first time, and got to watch Mommy put 16 stitches in my hand! Such a brave, curious, and smart kid!
Jessica N. replied:
Check out Caduceus Medical Group.
Cortney M. replied:
I love Dr Kwon@St Jude in Yorba Linda.
Swati D. replied:
Dr. Halati in Anaheim Hills is amazing!
Christina M. replied:
Dr. Jon Kramer, St Jude
Lauren B. replied:
Dr Longnecker
Karen B. replied:
Dr. Ayad is wonderful, compassionate, and loves all her kids!!! She has been my daughters doctor since she was born, 17 years.
Karen L. replied:
Dr Aguilar in Anaheim Hills, took my girls there from babies to 18 yrs old.
Courtney M. replied:
Dr. Lillian Lai Wu with St. Jude. Just a few minutes away. Been going to her for 8 years for my kids
Jennifer O. replied:
I go to Dr. Akey in Mission Viejo. It's a drive but we love him. He is not in a group so he takes his time. He is great with kids and is very nutrition focused, and not quick to hand you a RX. http://www.kennethakeymd.com/ I couldn't seem to find anyone in this area that I really liked. Calling around to see if you can talk to the doc to see how the practice is ran is a must, if they don't have time for that, they don't have time for your babies. good luck!
Nicole S. replied:
For a great pediatrician- Dr. Dev in Anaheim hills. His office always get you in, no waiting and very personal . Will call you back at 3 am. Nice and down to earth guy. 714-998-1941
Sajal P. replied:
We like Dr. Altheon Sinda at St.josephs. I understand what u mean. I recently just moved from Bay Area and had to start all over as well. Also have three kids. Goodluck
Dana M. replied:
I would see Dr Redd or Dr Rioux at St Jude Heritage on Rose Dr. Dr Redd was in the OR when my second son was born and he's now 19. I used to drive from 29 Palms and Yuma AZ to see them.
Sasha H. replied:
Dr Wu and Dr kwon. Kwon might be the nicest man ever!
Misty E. replied:
Go see Dr. Larissa Isterabadi. She is excellent. You will love her. I went through 3 pediatricians until I finally found her office and was satisfied with the care my daughter was getting. She has been our ped since 2010. They are so awesome. One time when my daughter got an eye infection, they had prescribed her a really expensive brand of eye drop ($80!) and to top it off NO ONE had the stuff in stock. I called them to ask what I could do because there wasn't a generic for it either and they had me come back into their office to give me a bottle free of charge. THAT is excellent care. Her staff is also great which is a huge deal to me as well. Good luck!
Rosie E. replied:
Dr Halati in Anaheim Hills. He is wonderful. My daughter came into contact with a hypodermic needle while building a sandcastle at the beach. He helped us through the whole process and calked me every 6 months for 3 years to order follow up blood work. He also knows my kids very well and can tell when they may be exaggerating symptoms. Great experience. My daughter is 16 now and we don't want to leave even though she doesn't need a pediatrician anymore!
Erica P. replied:
Dr. Halati and Eclipse Medical is great! They are in Anaheim Hills
Rosanna J. replied:
Dr. Jon Kramer is wonderful! He was my pediatrician as a kid and has been my 4 kids pediatrician since they were born.
Dana W. replied:
Dr Halati in anaheim hills is great! Can't say the same about the other dr. In his office. And refuse to visit with them. A few not so good personal experiences. Also you can't just make an apt for emergencies and have to leave a message. Which is also why they call in a prescription rather then taking a look at your child. They are too busy and the front staff isn't very nice about it. I hear great things about dr. Caduceus especially if your child had a heart condition and they are giving free ekg's
Lindsay H. replied:
Dr. Wu or Dr. Kwon. St Jude Pediatrics. Both are great with young kids. Dr Mayfield is part of the same group and I always feel like she brushes off my concerns.
Christine W. replied:
Dr. Dawn Bruner in Tustin at pediatric and adult medicine. There are a number of good pediatricians there. She was referred to me years ago by a nurse at CHOC.
Karen F. replied:
Dr. Halati at dr. Iseri's office Anaheim hills is awesome. Doesn't make you come in to get what you need every time. Does free phone consults, beautiful new office, nice man. He has cared for my twins since birth. 8 years now. Highly recommended.
Carolin K. replied:
Dr. Azza Ayad at Caduceus 4 Kids in YL. She's been my kids' doc for 11 years. Love her!!!
Stacey B. replied:
Dr. Cara Ruiz. I was with her until I turned 21. She is so caring and compassionate towards her patients. She spends a considerable amount of time to explain any health issues and I never felt rushed. 714-633-7111
Trenna B. replied:
Dr Hilati or Dr Kwon. Both EXCELLENT!!!
Jennifer C. replied:
My first recommendation is Dr. Kwon (with St. Jude on Rose) he has a great bedside manner! He communicates very well with both his patients & the parents! AND I would feel comfortable seeing them if he wasn't available. Second recommendation is Dr. Ayad at Caduceus. She is fantastic! But I wouldn't feel comfortable seeing anyone else at Caduceus. Dr Gonzalez is leaving the group. I used to work there!
Jamie H. replied:
Dr Steve Kwon at St Jude Heritage, Rose & Bastunchery.
Sharon E. replied:
Dr Jon Kramer@St Judes loved my kids until they were 18, broke my heart when we had to move on. If he could not see them we saw Tanya Mayfield, same office...
Patty M. replied:
Dr. Dev definitely the best!!!
Vwowwee W. replied:
Like Cerra said, Doctors Of Kids and Teens right across the street from CHOC and St Joseph Hospital! Lisa Gorab or any one of the peds there are awesome!! Saw my newborn in the hospital three times due to heart murmur... office staff is friendly and all hospital/ health services are right there!

I think my grandma is showing the early signs or Alzheimer's.... I'm 27 and know nothing about this can anyone recommend a good doctor in the area to take her to? I...
Hayley C. replied:
My grandpa has it and now he's at the point of dementia. He went downhill fast - like 3 years. We don't know of any exceptionally good doctors for it nearby. But I know of other people who slow down or stop the process with natural alternatives. I say turn to that. It's better. My grandpa is too stubborn but if your grandma is on board, switch her to organic food for starters. The biggest cause of Alzheimer's is the chemical additives in our food. Here is a study about vitamin B. http://ahha.org/Alzheimers.htm
Anybody here familiar with Dr Scott Middleton? Looking for a Doctor I believe he is with St.Jude? Input?
Michelle-Turbo J. replied:
Myself, my husband, both of our families and several friends go to Dr Middleton. He is a great Dr and very thorough. He is very busy and sometimes hard to get into but Phyllis is good too.
Janette C. replied:
He's a good doctor but definitely books up quick. We see Jonathan Anderson with St Jude also, he's off Harbor just before Bastenchury. My parents still come to him from Apple Valley. He's sweet and thorough. So is Dr Giglio in the same office:)
Brian P. replied:
Been with Dr. Scott Middleton for many many years and before that His Father Dr. Robert......Have Nothing but Great things to say about them and their Staff
Karen J. replied:
Yes, I know Dr. Scott very well. He is with St. Jude and has an office on Beach Blvd (near whittier blvd). He is a wonderful Doctor. My self and my late husband saw him for over 20 years. Lorri is the best. I was very upset when I had to move out the area and lose him as my doctor. I used his father, Dr. Bob Middleton, until he retired. I highly recommend him.
Does anyone have a female doctor at the St. Joseph's Pavilion in Orange, that they recommend?
Berenice R. replied:
I think you should look for Dr William Smith.....
Janet P. replied:
I have Dr Cathrin Garcia in the pavilion. She's great.
Berenice R. replied:
Well I know that I have a pt who see's Dr. Christina Garcia there she's a family medicine physician. Most of the doctors I'm familiar with or speak to are mostly men.
Ok mom friends I need help! My pediatrician decided to stop taking my insurance so I'm in need of a new one that is a really good doctor and works through St Joseph's...
Liz C. replied:
What area? Are you in the It takes a village group anymore? Rebecca Bruce may be able to recommend a good doctor!
