Christine C. replied:
Dr Barns in the Valley is awesome. He listens and has no problem working with other DRs. I am a firm believer in having one DR who knows everything but will work with specialists.
Anyone have any recommendations for a family doctor here in town?
Bridget G. replied:
Dr. Tulip
Marquel B. replied:
Angela Worthy Dr. Tulip isn't taking new patients.:(
Nathan T. replied:
Children's Clinic. Ask for Janet Shen. She's my mommy.
Alisha S. replied:
I agree! Janet Shen! I like her a lot, but haven't ever used her as a doctor. I also like Dr. Tulip and Dr. Moll a lot. Both Grace families and wonderful people!
Angela W. replied:
If you need a doc for you or Marquel, once she's not preggers I used to go to Family Practice Associates at Regional. Drs Warner, Kobb & Moll are all very nice. We also need to decide on a pediatrician. I saw Dr Tulip as a kid... Is he still around?
Kat M. replied:
Yes, my boys still see Dr. Tulip. We actually have seen pretty much everyone at Children's Clinic at one time or another. If you are looking for pediatrician, there's also Dr. Baker who used to be with Children's Clinic until he started his own practice. We were seeing him before Dr. Tulip.
Michael D. replied:
Dr. Noah Laufer, medical park family care
Vanessa M. replied:
If you're looking for a pediatrician, we use Dr. Hepler at Latouche pediatrics. He attends FCC and is a great doctor!
I see a wonderful wonderful family dr but not sure you are up for a female dr. She's every thorough and very educated. Her name is Katherine Kilby. I'll message you her number if you'd like.
Question from the inbox ~ Hi! We will be PSCing to Fort Bliss, El Paso TX this summer. Husband is O3 grade and we are a family of 3 with a dog. We are considering living...
Katie D. replied:
I highly recommend Del Sol Church's MOPs program! They also have a Mother's Day Out program. All of their children's programs are very well done (i.e. trained staff, safe/clean facilities, etc.) We use Dr. Guggedahl for our kiddos. He accepts Tricare standard and is pro-parent choice on all subjects (something super important to us).
Charlotte W. replied:
Dr. Rance is fabulous (on base pediatrician). He cares and listens and does a great job! We lived off post and hated it. I'd say on post if possible.
Myrna L. replied:
Off post pediatrician: Dr. Salloum at Westwind Pediatrics. He is an excellent pediatrician.

My parents attend Trinity Lutheran Church (Wisconsin) and I grew up going to Grace Lutheran (Missouri).. they are both in the North East.
Question from the inbox ~ We will be PSCing to Fort Bliss late this summer. Husband is O3 grade. Can anyone give suggestions for on-post housing? I've heard some...
Tonya C. replied:
We were there for 7.5 years and never had a problem with anyone messing with our house! We lived in Corrigador (which is where you would be for O3). Great new houses, playgrounds, etc.. Freedom Crossing (PX) is amazing! Lots of stores and water feature for the kids to run through. We miss that! Also amazing indoor rock wall pool open all year round on East Bliss. My kids went to Hughey and liked it. Stay away from Cielo Vista Elem if you can...problems everywhere, even though they have good scores. Don't be fooled! EPISD has its problems and I'm so glad we are out of that district! But overall we miss that post. Good luck!
Olivia K. replied:
Corrigador and Pershing Heights are on main post. Corrigador is newer and bigger. Upper Beaumont is post housing that's off post. There's a wall around the area but the gate is unmanned so it's pretty much open to anyone. But those are your options for O3. You'll be moving late in the season so it's not uncommon to be on the list for months to a year. I would put in your application as soon as you have orders. You can request a certain area but if they offer you something else and you say no, you'll go the bottom of the list.
Rebecca C. replied:
Dr. Isaac's group (West El Paso) for pediatrics and First Baptist Church of El Paso has an awesome MDO. Please message me if you need more info, we were in El Paso from 2010-2012.
Any recommendations for a family doctor and/or dentist in the eagle river area? Not sure where to even start to figure that out! I think Megan is going to need her...
Kelly H. replied:
There is a great dentist in the Providence Building on the left at the light right before Fred Myers (sorry for the weird dirrections). There is also the Alaska Womeons clinic in that building and a walk-in clinc with Doctors that will act as family pracitic - I am all about one location:)
John B. replied:
There is Capstone Family practice in the same location. Right by the Prov building there. dr Ray Kelly
Anyone in Anchorage have recommendations for a good family doctor? We've been here for 6 years and still don't have one...
Mark B. replied:
I went to Hillside Family Medicine, on the corner of lake otis and Abbott. I really liked the Dr I had there. When my mom and dad lived in Alaska they went there as well
