I need to hire a math tutor for my oldest daughter. She's in 6th grade. Any Anchorage folks out there have any suggestions?

Mary Claire, yes. I was going to email Bright. Do me a favor and don't mention it to Grace yet. I want to sit down and talk to her about it tonight. We WILL be there for the cookie kick off though. I'm building a giant super Villain and drawing comic books.:)

I have an appointment at Sylvan Learning Center for her tomorrow. They do an assessment and then recommend a tutoring plan tailored to her needs. Oh man, she's gonna be pissed, but I think it's going to help. I'm going to have her go once a week until her teachers, and most importantly HERSELF, feels confident going into 7 th grade
i need a math tutor. Nothing fancy (really). It's been a while and I have to take a test at the end of January.

Jenni May Wetherell might be able to give you a hand. I could also.

Use Khan Academy. It's free, on line and you can practice anything starting at any level. Easy 10 minute lessons. I've used it and Colton loves it. And they teach much more than math. Try it, you'll like it.
