Who is the best eye doctor in Anchorage? I need one who is experienced in navigating dyslexia.
Angelina M. replied:
We are going to see Jeff Keene in ER for Vision Therapy. I hear its good stuff.
Jamie R. replied:
We see Dr Grendahl, we really like her.
Jennifer G. replied:
Dr. Grendahl....she's been seeing my daughter since she was two and diagnosed with amblyopia...where her eye wanders. However, I don't know what her experience is in dyslexia. I have dyslexia....and my younger daughter had testing done in the school district for learning problems...ha more like the school district has learning problems. So if you ever have any questions I can try and help.
Jamie R. replied:
I wonder if vision therapy would help with that? Dr Lane at Makar eye care would be great to see. That's who we see for Brooke's vision therapy.
David T. replied:
Dr. Grendahl did two of my eye surgeries. He was really good.
David T. replied:
Hmmm, I am an old fart. The Dr. Grendahl listed now is probably my Dr's daughter (or great grand daughter).
Kevin T. replied:
The best you say... Dr Kevin Winkle. His new office is located off 36 th & Latouche
Linda W. replied:
There are eye charts without letters and numbers for ELS folks or people who has language processing disorders I would think all Eye DR would have access to those. Dr Robert W Arnold was recommended by the star program 276-1617
Jamie R. replied:
Dr Keene in ER is great. Arnold did Brooke's surgeries, good at what he does but I don't care for his lack of bed dude manner.

Anita H. replied:
I have been seeing Dr. Kjome (dimond vision clinic) for years (maybe 20:-)) he is an excellent resource. If he can't help you, he knows of someone who can. Best wishes
Karen H. replied:
Kristen, I work with a couple ophthalmologists and I absolutely think the best is Eric Coulter at Alaska LASIK and Cataract Center. Not only does he have an awesome reputation, but he is very compassionate and easy to talk to.
Kristen N. replied:
Thank you so much for the suggestions. Dr. Coulter did my Lasik, so he already has a record for me. I'll see if Dr. Kjome is an optician or ophthalmologist. I probably need antibiotics first.
