Here's an incredible blog for you: http://www.cycletour.org.nz/ I based my NZ tour largely off of this, and it was amazing. Good routes, accurate hill descriptions/charts, and a lot of context provided too. One caveat is I think all of this was written about five years ago and I'm not sure if the guy ever updated.

For NZ have a look here: http://nzcycletrail.com/ I'm a kiwi but haven't lived in NZ for over 8 years but as Meph248 says our roads are narrow and the driving bad! Hopefully this website will give you some ideas of off-road routes.

- In North America its the Adventure Cycling Association. - In Europe it's the Eurovelo network. Just google. - In Africa there are no long distance bike trails, except a few in South Africa like the Garden Route. - In South America there are no long distance bike trails (I could be wrong, never checked, but didnt see any when I was there) - In Antarctica you only got the McMurdo Highway. - In Australia / NZ I haven't cycled, but I don't think there are many. I heard that both places are not good for cyclists, because of the long distance in the Outback and the narrow roads/bad driving in NZ. Both places also suffer from some kind of road-rage of CARS VS BIKES. This is hearsay but I heard it several times. - In Asia there are only a few, see 4-River-Biketrail in Korea for an example. Central Asia and the Middle East have none, neither does Russia. China has good roads, Japan too, but it's crowded.
I'm looking for a new job/career, is anyone in the group a tour guide?

check out Austin Adventures, http://www.austinadventures.com I have been a tour guide for them. But first I had to earn my credits by cycling 7 years around the world without income. Also I make money writing articles for cyclocamping.com and we have some sponsors on board.

I haven't found anything on this site (yet), but they seem to offer potential opportunities. Anyone else know much about this group/website? http://www.explorersconnect.com/
So, I bought a Topeak Tour Guide Handlebar Bag against the recommendations of people here and elsewhere. Reason: I need it quickly for an upcoming tour and it is the...

Foxtrot Lima Oscar, there is plastic and plastic. The Topeak bracket IIRC is actually fairly thin molded plastcic. Our Klickfix brackets have survived well for many years - one of them is over 11 years old. The plastic does not take great load as the wire cable holds the weight. The Ortlieb bracket is technically even better as it is only the cable that holds it in place, but it is very fiddly to fit and adjust. So I just used the Klickfix that I already had from a Vaude bag, it matches the Ortlieb fittings.
