No. I went to Mesa Veterinary in Raton. They only charged me $65 for my large, long haired dog. Everyone I called in Taos wanted to charge me $150 and there was a long wait. We dropped her off and I made it a day with the boys (with the money I saved, lol) and we went up to Walsenburg and went to a really fun little water park.

Audrey Farley is Critters Grooming at 575-613-2825 She is in the plaza across from WalMart where the Yu Garden is located. Don't be surprised if you have to wait 3 months for your first appt. Then you get into que for future appointments.

Loved Audrey and the pets did too. And after she first moved I called and left a message to make an appointment and she never called back. I took my dogs down to Pet Smart in Albuquerque when I was down visiting once. Then I started doing them myself. Clippers are currently broken.

We definitely still do, and will always, trim pet's nails at the Angel Fire Small Animal Hospital. The groomer that was working out of our clinic did quit as of this past Monday. She also works at the Resort and said too many employees have left there so she was having to pull double/triple duty in the depts she works in there. Audrey, a personal friend of mine, is a really great groomer, but yes, you may have to make an appt. way in advance to have your dog groomed at her business, Critter's Grooming in Taos. We have referred clients to Avalyn's Paw Spa in Taos - we have never met the owner personally, but several of our clients have taken their dogs there and seem to be satisfied.

Joel Jarrett and his wife Adreina did a wonderful job with my mom and dad's Saint Bernards. I believe they are out of town currently though.
