I've sent a couple of pipes to Walker Pipe Repair, and the last one was an estate that was missing the entire stem. Mike Myers did the work and fixed me right up and the stem is a perfect fit. Worth a try...walkerpiperepair.com

http://blakemar.co.uk/pipe-repairs Based in Northants, and will fit a standard vulcanite stem for £18 plus P+P. Will be sending in a couple of my pipes next month to have new stems fitted, for the same reason as yourself. Being a clencher, I thought a P-lip would suit me, but apparently not.

Just to throw another option out there, I noticed that the stem from my Dr Grabow Omega fits nicely in my Peterson 313 System pipe. Both have an army mount tapered fit into the shank and are actually pretty similar in shape and aesthetic, too. For your 306, the Omega stem hasn't got enough bend, but I'm guessing it'd be pretty easy to bend with a heat gun. Probably easier than modifying a P Lip to be a fishtail. Just an idea.
ISO - seamstress (think that's how it's spelled) I need the bottom of my dress shortened and need it done by Friday . Cheap and good .
