Looking for a pediatrician to start my daughter off with, I'm 35 weeks pregnant. Any suggestions near Jacksonville? I don't want to use dr.festok, as me, nor my husband...
I second Purohit in Anniston. They have several doctors to choose from. I use Dr Ray and love him. Added bonus is that they are open on weekends for sick visits. Their web site will give a profile of each doctor!!
Dr Purohit is one of the best in Oxford, let alone Calhoun county. I went through issues of Dr's not being in the office for appointments and wanting to do unmerited procedures on my first son, before I switched to him and I will always sing his praises. For the past 7 years he has always been professional as well as is his staff.

Agreed with Haley. Dr Purohit is amazing along with all the others at his office!

BethAnne you will need an internal medicine doctor who will oversee all your issues if you have to be admitted to the hospital . I went with Dr. Rana but his practice is now getting very full and hard to get an appointment and wait time is 2 he's or more.

Beth Anne, I highly, highly recommend Dr. Saundra Dalton. She is a strong Christian, and has recently written a Christian book for women. She works for Anniston Medical Clinic. John and I love her a lot. She is so smart in her knowledge of medicine. She is an internist and has a wonderful nurse also, named Shawn. The phone number is 256-236-5631. Just ask to make an appointment and they will fix you up. Also, all the other employees there are so nice. I had a very bad experience with one of the doctors named above. He literally hollered at me on the phone and made me cry.

Dr. Revanna in Jacksonville
Brenda G. replied:
I'm not sure if Doctor's Med Care falls under urgent care or not. You can either walk in or make an appointment. I particularly like the nurse practitioner Juda Carter. They are located in Jacksonville on Hwy 21 across from the Willow Tree.
Amanda H. replied:
Dr Lindell mentioned above that's moving her practice to Oxford is actually going in with Dr Emerson at Oxford Family Practice next mth

Dr Natalie Lindell
Kristi F. replied:
We love Dr. Natalie Lindell. Since switching to her Sophie now tells us regularly that she isn't Sophie today, she is Dr. Sophie. And now instead of wearing dresses to be like a princess she says she wears dresses because she needs to dress like a doctor. And as parents we are impressed with the care she gets from her and her staff.
Natalie Lindell is amazing! Her staff is some of the nicest I've come across, too! Plus, she has a small infant so I feel like she can relate. Office is also spotless, and in a new building.

Leslie T. replied:
I have a consult with Dr. Branch tomorrow. I look forward to meeting her. I'm not thrilled that she's in Purohits office - not a fan of the office staff from what I've heard. Maybe just a bad experience. Would love a female doctor who can give me real mommy-advice too.
Im in need of a good pediatrician cause the one my kids use is going back to Georgia.
Nikki M. replied:
I've heard great things about Chase Thomas. He's just a nurse practitioner but he practices under a dr there. (In most cases the NP are better than the DR) in Anniston and Gadsden Pediatrics is great too
Alisa B. replied:
Chase Thomas and the new lady in there is awesome.
