Does anyone in the Raleigh or Cary area know a trained/official prenatal massage therapist? I'm thinking about celebrating my retirement next week with a massage. :)

There's a place called Remedy Clinic on Six Forks--they do massage and also accupuncture/pressure. It's super hippy dippy, but they are good! A few of my friends have used them to help get labor started at the very end.

Debbie Pedersen:) sounds good to me!

Your retirement? Massage Envy does prenatal massages. There is one in Cary by Trader Joes.
Kate B. replied:
I'm aware of that one, thanks! I'm looking for a personal recommendation. Massage Envy is kinda like Super Cuts to me. Nothing against it, I just want someone that is qualified since I'm knocked up.

I really think that Amanda at Carolina Center of Massage in Cary is great! She is trained over a broad range of massage techniques, including prenatal... always feel great when I walk out of there!

I would highly recommend The Spa at Umstead. They offer a prenatal massage. It's a treat to go there but how often does one retire before age 30? . If you go, allocate PLENTY of time before and after to rest and relax and enjoy.
