Looking for good downtown Raleigh restaurants for a night out... Interested in dinner and walking to a few other places / bars (or taking R line) ... Any opinions......

Napper Tandy's, 42 nd Street, Sono, or The Big Easy. First two are on West Street and second two are on Fayetteville Street. Four different varieties for you to choose from.

It depends on the occasion. If the kids are going and you want a resturant/bar with good food then the Oxford is great. For BBQ The Pit Authentic BBQ is the absolute best. But if it's just you and the hubby, I highly recommend getting a table outside in the evening at Buku. Three course meal and it was fantastic. Great atmosphere too. Tie it into an evening show at the Redhat amphitheater or a Symphony at Memorial and you got yourself an excellent night.
