Hey guys, any recommendations for a nice restaurant that won't break my wallet? I'm looking to take my girlfriend out to a nice dinner tonight, bit of a celebration. Any...

Uhhh a slight maybe hint as to what cuisine? For example there's maybe 15 restaurants within walking distance from my house that would fit the bill bro

I know I'm too late, but just in case someone else sees this or whatever, there's a place in Vic Park called Neho. Advertise themselves as Asian fusion tapas or something like that. Basically you order share plates. Food is freak'n amazing and two small plates and one large is plenty for two people and will cost you around $60.

Thai Esarn in Bayswater is worth the trip, imho.

Bit outside the box, consider doing a multi-entree meal. E.g. go to one place for an entree and a (soft)drink, wander down the road to the next place. Cheap, interesting, and although it's a light meal, it can be pretty decent. Also good for getting to sample a couple of places, if you're not a regular restaurant diner.

reading your budget I think if you're thinking Indian, hop up to Mt Lawley and Two Fat Indians. For Italian/Australian, Sandrino in Freo (particularly if you like big serves), or for straight Italian go to La Sosta. Sopranos in South Perth is the same sort of budget as Sandrino but imo not really as good. Prophet in Vic Park (Lebanese) is great, but maybe not the vibe you're after; you could easily cruise down Albany Highway and drop in anywhere that looks good, though, there are about a hundred places. Lucky Chan might be worth going into Northbridge, unless someone has a better noodle-y suggestion further south...

I'll likely be of an unpopular opinion here but I would highly recommend The Merrywell at the casino. If you're thrifty and order light, you should be able to get away with an $80 bill between the two of you. And then you two can wander around the casino for a bit straight after.

If you like pasta, Francoforte in Northbridge is cheap and good. About $20 for a main and you can byo wine.

Or you could do what I did on a date and take her to Zamby's just before they close. You can also wander up and down Albany Highway in Victoria Park like we did another time and find about 10 very good cheap restaurants to eat at.
