With Stan Nelson retiring, are there any more teachers left at AHS that taught in the early 80s? BTW, I saw Mrs. Linda Lewis at a restaurant in Athens a couple of weeks...
Donna L. replied:
Erma Holt & Kim Bartlett
Kevin H. replied:
Easy. Mr. Owens and Coach White
Cherlyn C. replied:
I learned so much from Mrs Holt. So glad she taught at a higher level so that I was ready for English/Literature when I got to college. Loved Mrs. Young too. I think they need teachers like her back in schools to teach typing, I don't know what they call in now but my daughter does not type the way we learned.
Joe M. replied:
Mike Owens
Barry C. replied:
Mr. Owens was one for sure. I still think about all the FFA officers cramming in his car and going to the convention in Montgomery. Also Mrs. Jacobs, Mitchell, Young. Wonder what happened to Steve Taylor? Who remembers those trips to ATL to see the Hawks play?
Arlene S. replied:

Lynne G. replied:
Mr. Adams
Phyllis S. replied:
Did any of you have Ms Jan Davis in 2 nd grade? Jody and Johnny, yall were probably in that class. We had to make a notebook for states and capitals. She was young and fun. Kelly Lewter was in that class also. Then I had Ms. Linda Birdsong for 3 rd grade and loved her. Stanley fell and broke his collarbone that year. Sixth grade was Ms Diane McCoy We made pancakes in class and had other classes to come and sing with us. Great year!
Dana R. replied:
Troy Hogan and Tim Lewter are the only teachers still at Ardmore from the 80 s. In fact, as much as I hate to say it, I think I'm in about the top 5 of oldest teachers at the school.
