For good dining, The Mooring Restaurant. for a quick bite - Winner Winner on Thames. Plenty of good historical places, Fort Adams can be good for all kinds of things, sailing, fort tours, picnic, etc. Mid May, Sachuest Point is excellent for bird watching, long walk on the beach, etc.

I LOVE Bristol! Blithewold Mansion is a must! The grounds are beautiful and there are thousands of daffodils! Coffee and breakfast foods at The Beehive Cafe (87 Gooding Ave), lunch at Aidan's or Quito's and dinner at Roberto's (450 Hope St). You probably need reservations at Roberto's. Enjoy!!

Cooperstown's probably the best small-town touristy midpoint - but I'd also recommend taking the southern route through New York State and stopping by the Corning Museum of Glass. Lots of gorgeous glassware to look at, and the opportunity to make glassware even if you're a novice! http://www.cmog.org/

The Park Central is very convenient to MOMA and Central Park. Not the most character but they often have deals and it is clean/nice. Believe it was renovated in last 5 year’s.
