Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced person who does alterations. My dry cleaners want more for the alteration than what I paid for the pants. Thanks!
I have found a couple of places but wanted to ask for places here. My husband is wanting to get a kilt for the festival. Are there any places or websites where I'm able...

Irish Fest is this weekend at Dallas Fair Park. There are generally vendors there that are selling/taking orders for kilts. You can see the difference in types of kilts. Pleat to stripe. Pleat to set. Sports kilts. Different weights of wool. If this is a first time to buy a kilt, I highly recommend actually getting fitted and talking with a kilt maker/company in person.

Sportkilt http://sportkilt.com is great. They now have most clan tartans available. These kilts were originally desighed for athletes, so the fabric is light, a definite advantage for here in Texas. They are pretty affordable as well, a basic one is under $100 and even a fully tricked out kilt will be less than $300. Great as far as comfort goes, and especially good if you are not ready to make a $500+ commitment to a traditional wool kilt.

I used Angie Cavallaro in 2015 for my dress. She works from her home in Fairfax Station. I felt her cost was reasonable and her work was wonderful. She provided great styling advice for a bolero (I wanted to cover my shoulders for the ceremony). Let me know if you’re interested and I can send her contact info!
I need someone to do minor alterations on a dress by tomorrow night. Please recommend someone. Thanks.

I will Second both The Man Shop and Mr. Lee’s. The Man Shop is very much about quality. Higher price but everything is damn near perfect. Mr. Lee’s has excellent service. He’s fitted or tailored everything from slacks to button up shirts, jackets, and even fixed & replaced zippers my dog thought were chew toys. Both incredible places that I wish weren’t far away from me now.

Hi Beth - I had both dry cleaning and hemming done at the All Star Dry Cleaning in Arlington Heights, listed here: https://www.yelp.com/biz/all-star-dry-cleaning-and-tailoring-arlington. Ms Chi at the front desk is very friendly and did a great job with both. It's been a while so I don't remember the exact pricing, but it was less than $20 per piece then.
