A friend of mine is a seamstress in Woodbridge. Does a lot of cosplay work. Reasonably priced. PM me if you want her info. She works out of her house but will travel to you if necessary. BTW, Kim's in Springfield overcharges.

Luis Tailoring in Old Town is probably the best kept tailoring secret in the area. Not out of his home, but the price and quality are right.

I've been to Alber's on 23 rd a couple times. Not sure what "normal" pricing is around the area, but it seems awfully expensive--$14 to have a 2-piece suit drycleaned and $64 to have the waist of a sports coat taken in. Hemming is relatively easy and hard to mess up though, so you're probably fine no matter where you go.

I use Arlington Tailoring & Drycleaning. 888 Mass Ave. Diagonally across from the High School & Mystic Wines. Small family run business, great service & quality work. Use them for my cleaning and alterations/mending etc.

Try Ace Cleaners. Dao is awesome. I had her replace a zipper in a leather jacket some years ago. She did a great job.
