Any suggestions for an amazing optometrist? They have to be great with children. We live in White Lake but we are willing to travel.

We go to Dr. Corinne Motluck at Stittsville Optometry. She was recommended to us for the kids and all 5 of us go to her. She is fantastic!

This might be a bit far but worth it imo. We saw Dr. Elice at Barrhaven Optometric. Young, hip and lots of neat tricks while examining kids, including having them watch a cute short film that captivates them while she shines lights in their eyes. She also caught an eye disease in my son that was missed by another optometrist.
Lynn S. replied:
Dr Rowley in Renfrew, she is very calming and has small children of her own.

Dr Spaull

I would go to Emerg as they can get you into a specialist fast otherwise Dr George in Almont is great. Not sure when Dr Conrad is back in the outpatient clinic
Paul M. replied:
Dr Spaull is an independent optometrist, and he's very good. 46 McGonigal St W, (613) 623-4046 - a few doors down from Danny Mac's and around the corner. I'm sure if you went in and showed them what's bothering you, they'd slip you in to have a look.
Gayle G. replied:
I also say stittsville optometry! They are fantastic! I see Dr Ferguson
Kim P. replied:
If you are willing to drive to stittsville, my son had a eye injury and Dr. Feurgesen at Stittsville optometry was amazing! They have all the updated equipment to look after it properly! He didn't have a referral either I called told them what happened, what my eye looked like and he was in within hours !
I need an optometrist, but I refuse to deal with anyone who books appointments 4 months for an appointment... Is there anyone in town?
Eleanor B. replied:
Dr St George in Almonte is really good.
Karen F. replied:

I was impressed with Valley Vision - first time taking our kids there - and I felt they had a more thorough eye exam than we had in Ottawa previously....

I wouldn't go anywhere but Valley Vision 2 of my children and myself have all got several pairs of glasses there
