Anyone have a favorite barber in Boulder? Great Clips has been ok so far. I am just looking to get a bit of a nicer cut.

Northside barber on Folsom and Arapaho is great IMO.

I've been happy with Al's Barbershop on the hill. http://www.als-barbershop.net/

It's a drive up to FoCo so i apologize if this isn't what you are wanting, but I cannot recommend John Scott enough. For over 4 years, only 3 other people have cut my hair and those were "I need a cut now" situations. I make the trip from Boulder area for him every time.

I always go to Silver and Gold on the hill. Doesn't matter who I get they've always been great
finaleclipse replied:
The Boulder Barber off of Valmont is my go-to. In my experiences they really take their time to make sure you get it just how you like it. I used to go to Truman/Rollins before, but for the kind of cut that I get I find Boulder Barber to be more affordable.

Goodbarberscolorado.com - I've always had good results with them

Rollins Barbershop is the absolute best in town!

Either Tatiana or Erica at Floyd's will give you a great cut. Go to Tatiana for the conversation, Erica for the craftsmanship (she's like the John Carpenter of haircuts: even if you don't like the final product, which you probably will, you have to appreciate the care that went into making it).

Can confirm, Justin@GoodBarbers is amazing

Recommendations for barber who can do a good fade? Near golden area preferred. But I need a barber that can do a good mid fade with scissors on top.

Marcos at Stan's Downtown Barber on Champa off 16 th Street Mall. I have been in Portland and am missing him. He really does a great job. This isn't in Golden, but I've never actually tried to go get my hair cut in Golden

Best place for a guy's haircut? Just moved here recently. Looking for someplace known for better barbers than greatclips or whatever.
Thanks for any recommends
ShaftBoyardee replied:
If you're going to the hill, The Barber Joint is pretty good. It's on College ~~Age~~Ave by Cheba Hut. I've payed $15 for a haircut by an apprentice (no worries, they know what they're doing and the stylists do an inspection).
Anne__Frank replied:
I get mine cut at TräpKutz off of east college. Barber does a killer job, but it's a little pricey and kind of exclusive so I don't know if he's taking on any new business right now.
Spiritnaga replied:
Highly recommend J Black barbershop. Prices are good (30$ for a haircut and beard trim), and the service is fantastic. I have tried several of the barbers in town, and it can be hit or miss depending on whom you get the appointment with. Julio at J Black is great all the time. Hope you find a good barber!
ifeelhome replied:
Not quite in Boulder but Rock Barbers in Louisville is awesome. Started by one of the guys that started Al’s in Denver.
jacobepping replied:
Another vote for northside barbers. Very chill place. I know a lot of guys who like silver and gold too, but I’ve never been.
Thoughtfuhl replied:
Zinke is a very good, but expensive option (could be $40-50 for top-level Zinke barbers). I think it's worth it since they know their shit and always do an excellent job, unlike many other salons.
Spyzilla replied:
I go to Silver and Gold on the hill, $20 and the guys that work there are pretty cool.
bonyponyride replied:
http://www.als-barbershop.net/ I used to go here. You pay a bit more for the attention to detail and the experience.

Northside Barbers is my favorite. Its around 20$ and they sure know what their doin!
ElDoradoJuan replied:
There is a good place on the corner of Arapahoe and Folsom, cannot remember the name of the barber shop itself but can remember the name of the guy who gave me the trim - Sherman. Pricey enough, 20 bucks, but worth it.
beauf1 replied:
The Boulder Barber. A guy named Z-Ball cut my hair and it was one of the best cuts I’ve gotten in Boulder.
henockz18 replied:
Truman is really good. But it's expensive.
jtmv4 replied:
Silver and Gold Classic Barbershop is the way to go. I've always been happy with what I've gotten for $20.

If you live near Will Vill, there's a place called Clipperz just down Baseline. They don't do anything fancy but Im always satisfied with my cuts. It's costs about $20.

I see Gianna at Studio Be. She is a higher level stylist and does a great job. Not to mention she's just an awesome person, which makes going to get my hair cut enjoyable! Also Studio Be really takes care of you \- beverage of your choice when you walk in, separate relaxing spa room for when you wash your hair, etc.
It's good to have a Stylist in the Family! New Profile pic, shows the new hair. I can't say enough about Sandey at Union Salon. Anybody looking for a terrific Stylist...
