Liz, if you are interested, in addition to the short term palliative care and physical therapy-based exercise programs, a more gentle and long term approach would be to explore steady change through a better general understanding about your equilibrium and balance overall. Alexander Technique offers a great practical process to "undo" and move away from these issues for good. It can certainly help you sort out your "funky form" and shift away from the strains and distortions causing the distress. Many right handed runners get left side strain, and it is one of the easier confusions to sort out. In my experience massage alone is not the best choice. After ruling out a stress fracture, consider PT and possibly some Astym. Occasionally, a steroid injection can assist if failing conservative treatment. Glad to help. BRBJ 258.8800

Bands are great, and we are blessed to have so many opportunities to create and play alongside real live musicians playing great music. I also REALLY enjoy DJ nights. It's a rare opportunity to dance to the sounds of the Big Band Swing era that spawned this amazing dance. I'll be looking forward to dancing the Lindy Hop to Count Basie, Chick Webb, Fletcher Henderson, and all the rest that helped create it! Yay DJ nights!!
