Good barbershops? Any recommendations for a good barber shop here in town? Also wouldn’t hurt if they served a beer with the cut

Arturo’s barber shop on 25 near long shoals road. In the same building as the new biscuithead. I’ve been looking for a good barber in Asheville, and until Arturo, I’ve been unhappy with the style of cut I’ve gotten. He’s been cutting hair for 25 years, true professional. Nice shop too, very clean look.

Clipper and Comb on Sweeten Creek Rd near Rockys Chicken Shack. They do an excellent job. I used to go to Asheville Barber & Tap in downtown but they are inconsistent in quality of work and the beer is overpriced. I never got the allure of drinking beer in a barber chair. Hair in my beer doesnt make it any better. LoL

Steadfast. It’s appointment only and he sticks to certain cuts, but he’s damn good at them. He’s also good people. Edit: he has a beer fridge! I don’t know prices or anything, but there’s definitely a stocked beer fridge

Yeah, it’s not the cheapest in town, but you’re getting what you pay for. I’m tired of getting weird haircuts around town that cost less.

My hubby got a horrible cut at that Barber & Taps place downtown. Now he goes to Kate at Union Hill - much better.
ISO: A barber that can do legitimate fades, blowouts, tapers and shape-ups around Sylva/Cullowhee Area or Asheville. Thanks.
Alicia T. replied:
Dons Barbershop is the local place to go to get fades. My husband is a marine, and always keeps the High and Tight, and Don always does a wonderful job. The women are okay, but don was a military barber, he knows how to fade. Just giving you a tid bit, as the shop was previously mentioned

Christina Sutton is the bomb at fades and men's cuts!! I highly recommend her.

Go to Lucky's on Main Street in Sylva and walk in M-F. Vance Sr. or Jr. will square you away.
Does anyone know where I can get scissors sharpened in the Asheville area? My grandfather was a barber & I use the scissors to trim my dogs. Thanks for your help.
