I don't know how to judge "affordable" when it comes to something as critical as electrical work, but Willet is a local, family-owned, highly-skilled and experienced company that does high-quality work. Ntm they're super-nice folks. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Willett-Electrical-Contractors/250816595069600

Call Qualitis Electrical, he is right here in West Asheville and does quality work at fair prices.
Mark Woodby - 337-7718. He was recommended by a friend and he was inexpensive and HONEST. We REALLY liked him. He even came out here when it was snowing and didn't charge extra.

I don't charge by the hour. I would rather charge by the job. Its better for you as well because most electrical contractors charge around $75 an hour. I can come by and give you a quote. Just pm me or call/text me at 828-674-8967.
Affordable Electrician? Any one have recommendations on an affordable electrician in the area? I possibly need a separate breaker installed for some equipment, though...

Make sure whoever you hire is actually licensed to do electrical. Lotta handyman heros that do terrible electrical work.

I can tell you don't go to Power Plus. They came out last week to give an estimate on installing a 50 amp for a welder and wiring a flood light... 2 k. The estimate gave 1600 for one and 400 for the other. I asked for a breakdown of time and materials for each, you know, like an estimate is supposed to be. The owner refused. The owner compared his business to McDonalds... They have a menu and each item has a cost. Fucking idiot. At McDonalds, I know how much each ingredient costs. FUCK POWER PLUS!
Electrician recommendations? Just moved, and we need to put in a couple of new electrical outlets (one for a deep freezer, and one so we can put in a garbage disposal)....
