Nik Russo of Air Dynamics828-215-7914 One of my neighbors works with him, and they are very reasonable and knowledgeable! They found and repaired many things wrong from the installation and upkeep of my heat pump from another company.

Thanks, Bobbi, Sarah and Eric! Bobbi, we've used Quality Air before, but it was with another house that had a boiler and radiator system, and they weren't too familiar with how those worked. We didn't have the best experience with them then, but perhaps a more modern system would give us a better experience with them.
Has anyone had an oil furnace replaced for a fair price? The one quote I got was for $4K (no duct work, just a new furnace) and I'm wondering if there's a better price....

Frank Sheer, Sheer Comfort. The only honest HVAC guy I've come across in WNC. 828 651 8111. He's done several jobs for us, and saved us a lot of money where everyone else wanted to gouge us. I highly recommend them.
It never rains but it pours!!! Can anyone recommend an honest heating/air conditioning service in Asheville or environs? Our fan isn't kicking on. Sigh. :-(
Barbara N. replied:
Ken Sanders. Not far from you, honest and as nice as the winter was long!
Pat H. replied:
We use American Heating and Cooling. 828-665-8000. Family operated. Mom runs the office. We have used them 5 years and they are honest and reliable.
My husband, Isaac Savage, is an HVAC consultant...he trains HVAC technicians among other things. He said he'd be happy to chat with you and answer any questions. He could also refer you to an HVAC contractor based on your specific needs.
Laura H. replied:
I suggest Mountain Air Mechanical. They are very helpful. If its simple they can help ya over the phone.
Pam C. replied:
I use Affordable Comfort. He found a lot wrong with my original install by Gentry. I am using less oil than before. Jessica Lovelace I needed a piece of duct work moved from my outside porch back into the house and he did that as well.
Adrienne B. replied:
Home Energy Partners does duct testing for air leakage. I'd call and ask to speak with Jeff Huntley who schedules that type of work. — Sent while on the go
