I purchased a house last July out in Brevard, my realtor recommended me to Jim Rauland at [Quality Home Consultants](http://qualityhomeconsultants.com/). My father and I attended the inspection with him and I was extremely pleased with his inspection - he pointed out a lot of pretty critical things we had to go back to the seller to get fixed I hadn't noticed prior to his inspection. He crawled all over that house from the crawl space underneath to the trusses in the attic. I can't remember the exact price, but it was on par with what my friends had paid other inspectors when buying their homes, so I think it was fair.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. We ended up going with quality home inspections, based on our realtor's recommendation and the positive review here. Affordable sounded like a good choice too but it sounded like a couple people had some small issues with them. I'll post after the inspections with my thoughts as well in case anyone else is looking.

I used Austin Boleman at Affordable Inspections. Very thorough, was worth the price, easy to work with.

I recently was in the market for a home inspector. I looked at a bunch of them and Affordable Inspections was the most expensive. I went with Dogwood Home inspections and was fairly satisfied. (Dogwood was not the cheapest initially but they did offer to beat the next cheapest price). I would also recommend Eddie Roberts (the only reason I did not use him was due to a scheduling conflict.)
