dog agility classes Can anyone recommend a dog agility class? I have tried a couple here in in the area, but have not been happy with the trainers.

Try High Flyer Agility Center in Mills River. I have been going to him with my dog and I am very happy. I tried others in Asheville, but did not like them. Brian Ferrand at 828.243.7497 or bkfdogtrainer@yahoo.com.

I adore the trainer in Hendersonville Petco. It's a little bit of a drive (20 minutes down 26E) but it is SO WORTH IT. If she can't offer something, she'll give you a laundry list of people who can. Leslie, I think.

I work at Patton Ave. Pet Co. We have sent many people to (and a couple of us have employed the services of) Heather Polechio. She owns Mindful Mutz training services. She's amazing. Aggressive dogs, timid dogs, crazy dogs, she does it all and I've never heard anyone speak ill of her abilities. I'm pretty sure she does in-home, group, and in-office sessions. She really is among the best in town. https://www.mindfulmutz.com/

I have a local friend who is a certified dog trainer. PM me of you want her info - and good luck! I have a very timid dog myself who we are training at home.

I've been working with Heather Polechio from Mindful Mutz, and cannot say enough good things about the experience. She comes to your house for sessions.

There are two behavior trainers in this town that are great, but who have very different takes on "training". We have used both, and have seen a dramatic, fantastic difference after using one for our fearful girl. I have enormous respect for both, and have strong opinions, so I would ask that you PM me if you want specifics, opinions and outcome info. I will spend as much time as you need discussing the pros and cons of both specialists.
Dog Agility Trainer Recommendations? Does anyone have recommendations for an agility trainer in Asheville? Preferably for private lessons. Thanks!

I have tried three agility trainers and did not like any of them. The last one yelled at me and I never went back. There is no good trainer in the area. And one talked and talked and talked so much the dogs got restless.
Does anyone have a favorite dog trainer they would recommend in Avl?One that deals w/behaviors too? It's actually not for our Labradoodle but my other dog. Thanks!
Mayra P. replied:
