In response to a previous comment I made on here I have been having discussions about the possibility of starting some sort of soft play facility in the area. Would...

A soft play would be great. I tend to use Jungle Chums on the a38 but it can be pretty unreliable as to when it's actually open. Maybe soemthing with an outdoor area as well?

There was one at community centre, brilliant at the time. Ran a small coffee bar alongside it. It was called Soft Loft and was run by 2 sisters.
Sadly when you actually look into the business side it's quite prohibitive. For example, the size site you might need, like the Mitsubishi garage at Draycott, up for rent for £50,000 per annum. Then there would have to be planning permission and building regs/ redevelopment of site. That's before you even think about buying the equipment and hiring staff. At this point the business would have to be making a minimum of about £3 k per week just to break even. That's a lot of people.
