Lexi S. replied:
Dr. Price in Medford is also super sweet. He's very progressive, gentle and conservative when it comes to drilling and such. His rates are very reasonable. He encourages patients to use MI Paste to remineralize teeth and would probably be open to other methods.
Nikita G. replied:
Thanks Lexi, I'll check Dr Price out. Thanks Crystal & Natalia really appreciate the feedback <3
Lexi S. replied:
Yeah. I checked out Dr. Robbins a while back also and didn't feel such a progressive open minded vibe.

Premier Dental Care in Ashland is a 'teaching dentist,' and they might take your case since it's a rarity and would be good experience for his staff. Worth a try!

Try care credit!!! Carecredit.com
William C. replied:
You may want to try OHSU School of Dentistry. A bit of a schlep, but may be worth it.
Kathleen Marshall (Can't tag!) recommended Dr. Zeny Ocean and I can't thank her enough! He's awesome!!

Trayshawn Wright - http://www.curetoothdecay.com/Tooth_Decay/tooth_pain.htm These can help for pain. Explore this site, because you CAN cure tooth decay with diet and a few supplements. However, in my husband's case, there was no amount of cod liver oil or natural remedy that could take care of a shard of a tooth that was completely exposed! We don't have insurance so we're doing Care Credit, which is a credit card specifically for medical purposes. I know they do take insurance. They also work with patients as to what they can afford and when. Dan Jackson is our age, totally down to Earth, mellow. You'd like him Kristi. Nothing super fancy, but great hygenists and warm, calm environs...bonus: you can walk to his office from your home!

Candace asks: Any Dentist recommendations? And has Anyone declined fluoride for their kids and if so, was it an issue? Thanks
Lindsay Y. replied:
we see Dr. Roger Curry (near 96 th & Q) and i declined fluoride and neither the staff nor dr. curry questioned it. he's very gentle and, i feel, thorough. (disclaimer: we haven't had to deal with cavities or other dental issues beyond regular checkups, though. so i can't speak to that.)
Brenton T. replied:
Dr. Michael Danahay at Dental Innovations near 144 th and Center. As far as declining fluoride, my understanding has always been that fluoride is very safe and effective for dental health when used topically (either toothpaste, mouthwash, etc... whenever it's spit out) and the bigger problem is generally ingesting fluoride and the effect it can have on thyroid and other organs...

Our dentist doesn't even ask. We waive xrays (he hasn't even asked since the first visit) and he does the cleaning himself. It's very quick. Dr Lawrence Kelley at 55 th & NW Radial
Omaha P. replied:
My hubby and I see Dr. Danahay but the kids go to Dr. Hohenstein. He's been the kids' dentist for 6.5 yrs now and we really like him. We do do xrays b/c I have weird teeth and we needed to see if the kids had weird teeth too, lol. Turns out they have weird teeth too but differently weird from mine (like my 3 yo has 3 permanant front teeth instead of 2!). ~Jenn
Janelle H. replied:
Dr Curry was our dentist (before kids) and he convinced my hubby he needed some amalgam fillings.. I was not happy. Has anyone seen the holistic dentist listed on the resource page?
I will say dont go to Cade Hunzeker. We see Dr. Jill Bennett in Papillion and like her but her office is really so you cant always get an appointment as quickly as you would like.
Carrie D. replied:
We absolutely love Dr. Hohenstein and his staff at Smile Station!
Sarah K. replied:
I also see Dr. Roger Curry and he's very nice, I've never had to deal with anything beyond regular checkups with him but he's always been fine with skipping fluoride.
Jessica C. replied:
Dr. Bryan (Hohenstein) at Smile Station. My kids have always seen him, for over ten years now and have never had any issues, and the kids love him, his staff and the new building lol.
AJ C. replied:
My 9 year old has a spacer in (she has had it for about 18 months) and Dr. Bennett is always so gentle and reassuring. Em had to have a couple of teeth pulled when she got the spacer and they made sure it was not at all traumatic. The staff are all really great too! We had one hygenist who was a little rough and I called and talked the the receptionist about it and she said they would take care of it but that we wouldnt have to have her again and we havent. She was very new at the time and I think just needed a reminder maybe.:) The office staff is really great too which is definitely a bonus! This is our 3 rd Pediatric Dentist and we are the happiest we have ever been!
