Seeking 2 home repair / renovation recommendations. I searched the sub and didn't find anything recent or substantive for these:
* Plumber - we have a leaking toilet...
Blrfl replied:
98% chance the leak is a flapper valve gone bad. You can [fix it yourself](http://youtu.be/Suno4 wxDNk0?t=15 s) in under 10 minutes for under $10. If you can install a brand new toilet, you're more than able to do this repair.

I feel bad for saying this because it's taking work from local businesses, but I went around and got several quotes on granite for my townhome. The cheapest and most reasonable we found was... home depot :/ I know, I know. But they had 10% off and 6 months no interest financing and I was able to spread the payments over time, which helped immensely. They used MSI Stone if you want to skip the middle man. The install was good; they used the sink and faucet we provided and went the extra mile to make sure the heavy sink had extra bracing.

Call Mickey Smith. Very good and reliable. He answered questions my company had and we have used him for a couple of small projects. Do you have his number?
