We liked westwind dental in Seaside - I can't remember our tech's name but Dr. Christina was great! There is at least one tech at the Astoria office I would suggest as well - but push to make sure you see Dr. Christina rather than her husband.

We go to Dr.Lubisich (any of them)@Vancouver Dentistry. They are great will all my kids. Play stations at the chairs, tons of patience from entire staff, excellent care and follow up (Dr. actually called me himself to check on my daughter to make sure she had a good experience her first time.) Dr. John Vargas on Madison/35 th - most thorough cleaning I've ever experienced (he is only in the NYC location 1-2 times per wk). Gus Kaloudis in midtown west is also a great choice.
