I went to The Center for Couselling and Personal Evaluation. It's on UGAs campus and is very affordable (I paid $5). I was there for 3 years.

Dr. Chuck Zanone is amazing. He has an office in Five Points. He used to work at the health center on campus but left to open a private practice. I highly recommend going to see him.

I like Family Counseling Services. There are several therapists there, so you can probably find the right person for you. They also have a sliding scale, which makes it fairly affordable compared to other places in town.

On my!!! Is he still alive? My father lived 5 yrs after diagnosis & passed due to injury in a fall rather than the usual lung failure. I am thankful that he could still eat, walk, talk, etc when he went, but will never understand how the government can justify withholding promising treatment to terminal patients. After 20+ yrs in Atlanta hospitals & being a respiratory therapist, it was actually surprising to me how little his primary doctors & even myself about some of the things he experienced. His physicians, who I had worked with & know for many many years flat out took every bit of hope he had. I volunteer as much as possible since I have experience with ALS on all 3 sides.. Caregiver, family member, and hospital worker. My brother & his family live in Texas & they have started an awareness program at Texas a&m where they both teach. May I friend request you? If there is anything I can ever do for you, please do not hesitate to ask! Thanx again & bless you! You are ao sweet to share with me! It is definately a very under researched, extremely cruel disease!
