Keeping in mind I moved two years ago: there is (was?) a tailor in the mall that was reasonably priced, and there is (was?) a place on broad street near.... I think the Flower's Inc. Retail shop? By Taco Bell.

I took my "wedding" dress to a woman on Chase Street. I think this was it. Davis Alterations 917 N Chase St Athens, GA 30601. She did a great job. You should also post in the GoGos. There are a few seamstresses there.
