Boulevard Animal on Prince is really popular. That's where I take my dog.
libbykino replied:
I use South Athens Animal Clinic off of Milledge near exit 6. Dr. Mosher and Dr. Nemitz are great vets who treat my cats really well. Dr. Nemitz did a tooth extraction and dental cleaning on one of my cats and Dr. Mosher always takes me in the back room to show me x-rays and stuff. They're great.
Jason-Perry replied:
You asked for good, not cheap, so I'll recommend ours: Dr. Elder at [Shoal Creek Animal Clinic](http://shoalcreek.com).
elextricfeel replied:
I just started taking my dog to the uga practice clinic and they are amazing! My dog had lots of skin/allergy problems and they helped to clear it all up. He also had an ear infection they thought would require removal of his ear canal, but with their treatment he ended up being alright and now he's happier than ever. They really care about the well being of your pet and always remember me when I come in.

I use Hope Animal Medical Center on Mitchell bridge road. They are phenomenal! I've used Firehall 4 and Shoal Creek Animal Clinic in the past and they are great too.

Bob Brewster has two clinics, don't know the names of them, but I've been going to him for ten+ years.
aurafield replied:
I definitely recommend Gaines School Animal Hospital. I have 3 geriatric pets who have been treated there for the past 15 years, and over time, they have all gone into organ failure. Dr. Brewster, Dr. Ekman and Dr. Yash have all saved their lives. Although vet bills are never cheap, I feel like they are more reasonable than other places I've been in the past.
mikevito replied:
Thanks guys. We ended up deciding on FireHall4 Vet Clinic. Really great experience so far.
mrslacroix replied:
We love [Firehall Vet](http://firehall4.com/). Dr. Peterson is wonderful!

Mel Cown at Athens Animal Hospital is amazing. He, too, doesn't care about fanciness; he keeps it inexpensive and does an awesome job. He really cares about the animals! The office is just off the loop at Chase Street.

Clear view Medical Center in Monroe is hiring. Saw the post on fb today. I have no other info though. Sorry.
On my!!! Is he still alive? My father lived 5 yrs after diagnosis & passed due to injury in a fall rather than the usual lung failure. I am thankful that he could still eat, walk, talk, etc when he went, but will never understand how the government can justify withholding promising treatment to terminal patients. After 20+ yrs in Atlanta hospitals & being a respiratory therapist, it was actually surprising to me how little his primary doctors & even myself about some of the things he experienced. His physicians, who I had worked with & know for many many years flat out took every bit of hope he had. I volunteer as much as possible since I have experience with ALS on all 3 sides.. Caregiver, family member, and hospital worker. My brother & his family live in Texas & they have started an awareness program at Texas a&m where they both teach. May I friend request you? If there is anything I can ever do for you, please do not hesitate to ask! Thanx again & bless you! You are ao sweet to share with me! It is definately a very under researched, extremely cruel disease!

We love Winterville Animal Clinic. When we moved closer to Athens we tried switching to an office closer to our house but they didn't treat us so well. They are very affordable and the practice owner, Dr. Brubaker is awesome.
Michael V. replied:
Shoal Creek Animal Clinic, Dr. Christopher Elder. Very thorough, and very clear about your options for both treatment and financial decision-making. They have a solid relationship with UGA Vet (he's an alum) if advanced care is needed. They were super-supportive when my dog was diagnosed with and passed of cancer in 2011.
Raven H. replied:
Athens Animal Hospital. The main vet is awesome, he always gives us free samples for flea treatments and stuff like that. He also always remembers my cats and tries to make it as afforable as possible. It's also off of Chase...or it could be on Chase. I forget.
Jeromy C. replied:
Gaines School Animal Hospital is where I go. I've never had any issues with them, and they send out friendly reminder cards about when shots are due, and they are so friendly
Pamela C. replied:
Winterville Animal Clinic! It isn't very fancy but they are all really nice and really care about your pet.
