Dr. Davis is the best with our pets and his service isn't pricey either!
Kyla G. replied:
Jonathan Ford dog was a result of sutures being knotted way to tight. In the 7 years I have worked in veterinary, I've only seen that done a handful of times. By an amateur vet fresh out of college, and senior vets rushing through to make it onto their next surgery (which they overbooked for the day anyhow)
Dee J. replied:
be sure and get your vouchers...most vets in the area have the applications... Davis in Dardanelle is reasonable... 229 0595

does anyone know of a vet that u dont got to have 200 cash on the spot before they will see your animal???
Maghan R. replied:
If it is Parvo-we just had a rescue pup die from this a few days ago-dehydration or secondary infection are the killers from that. Re hydrating is key...but even with all we did, the puppy still passed away. But your vet can, if you can afford it, hook the pup up to an IV for fluids. call Atkins Animal Clinc, the vet is Scott Hamm, and he is amazing
Karen D. replied:
Try Dr. Davis in Dardanelle, AR. He is willing to work with you and even sometimes takes things on trade. Call him. 479-229-0595

If it isn't a blockage ( some dogs chew on anything & swallow it) but if it is a doggie bug or parvo but the others are right with parvo bloody stinky stools, this if it isn't a blockage works great, we have given our dogs this for several years when they needed it, first of all I had a dog that was in bad shape parvo and I didn't want to loose her so I prayed and The Lord impressed me to doctor her like I would my child for the vomiting to stop to give her meds & keep them down I gave her a small piece of Phennigrin suppository ( use gloves) then an old time doggie remedy-mix 1 crushed baby aspirin and a raw egg & a little cream or milk & (a crushed vitimn C if you have it), give a syringe full ( without needle of course) wait 20 min or so and give another syringe full. This has worked so many times for us!!!!! If it is a blockage you need to get help as quick as possible.
Pam E. replied:
I don't know of anyone right now. Dr. Green won't be back till Tuesday because of the holidays. I think the emergency clinics are the only ones open and there is one in Ft. Smith, but I don't know their number. They may take credit cards but I don't know about payments.
Anyone know of a vet who has experience with micro mini pigs?
Tif S. replied:
You get what you pay for, TTP are reputable breeders that breed Tiny Pig Registry of America stock and who have been breeding for several years with many references. My micro mini has NO pot belly in her, her parents are full grown adults her Dam, who is five years old, is registered Micro Mini and Sire, who will be three in Feb., is registered Micro Mini Juliani and are under 30 lbs., I was able to speak with ppl who had bought full siblings to verify their size. I found many breeders who do not breed registered pigs and who breed them very young so they can advertise how small they are. As with any pet purchase in depth research is always advised.
Amber M. replied:
Not sure about this species, but Davis Veterinary Clinic does more, well, unique animals than many others. They are in Dardanelle.
Tif S. replied:
Amanda Brown Gideon. I got mine at www.texastinypigs.com

Where is a good place in Russellville to get my dog spayed for cheap?
Sandra K. replied:
Southwind animal hospital has spay and neuter coupons. It would be the cheapest...I beleive. The number is 479-498-8600. I think with the coupon it takes $50 off of the spay.
So who is the cheapest vet that is still good? Our doggie baby has an ingrown nail :-(
Crystal R. replied:
We use southwind at petsmart and Davis. Dr. Davis is ALOT cheaper., he is located in Dardanelle, but good enough that we go out our way to take our animals to him. Don't take my word for it, just call And compare the two.
Christine W. replied:
Dr. Smith off Parkway in Russellville. Wonderful vet.
Bobbie P. replied:

We took a puppy to Dr Mann in Beebe the other day to do a complete check up cost $10
Anyone know of a vet who does pro bono work? I have a 1yr old choc lab w a skin problem.
Amanda K. replied:
Booneville vet does not do pro bono. You can call Booneville Vet 479-675-2211 and I'm sure Charlie would talk to you about what it might be. From what you are describing is sounds like sarcoptic mange( you will need to get it confirmed before you start any treatment though). You can take it Booneville vet and have a skin scraping done for $5 or $10. he sells the lyme dip for $16 a bottle and it can treat a full sized lab 4 times (you dilute it with water I've had dogs with it before and used right at 4 ounces of dip to 1 gallon water). With sarcoptic mange (it is very CONTAGIOUS & is the same thing as scabies in people) they lose their hair and develop large scaly/scabby sores usually starting on the ears and head but can quickly cover the entire body.
