Dr Emerick at Park Hill Pet Clinic has been our Vet since 1999. Our pets have always received excellent care there.
Scott A. replied:
NLR Animal Control sells vouchers for spaying and neutering which will cut the cost down. You need a check or a card, they won't take cash at the Animal Control office. Foster's on JFK is the cheapest vet I've found in town. Eubanks is also fairly inexpensive.

I have used Eubanks for 44 years. Dr. Weiner is the best out there. I don't shop prices for my animals. I want them to have the best. If things get real bad with an animal at home after hours, Dr. Weiner will make a house call. He takes his time and explains the issues and the best way to treat. I know my pets are in good hands with him.

I think Chestnut Animal Clinic in Conway would be a good place to look into. I know they have a vet who will see rodents, as I've seen people take in their guinea pigs while waiting in the lobby with cat. They're open Saturdays, and appointments are $40. I've had a good experience with them.

My dachshund had the very same problem, and was paralyzed from mid body to tail. Drug herself around the yard, and looked so pitiful. My vet/friend is Tom Foster in Park Hill. Since I couldn't afford a canine neurosurgeon, Tom said he would try and cure her if I would do as he suggested. I did and he did!!! Steroid injections and confining to a very small taxi so she couldn't move around did the trick. In a short while I had her out in the yard, and noticed a hind leg trying to wiggle. With that, it wasn't long at all until she was running everywhere as normal doxies do. Lived to be 13 yrs old. Tom is wonderful to dogs. I highly recommend him.

Do you have a dog/cat that needs basic vaccines? Please plan to attend the clinic hosted by the Cabot Animal Shelter and...
Brandy B. replied:
The Cabot Animal Shelter hosts the event twice a year for the public. Pampered Paws & Claws sponsors the event meaning they donate funds towards the purchase of materials used for the event. Our veterinarians are paid for their time, of course. The remaining money that is raised from the event pays for the vaccines/materials used and/or is placed in the donation account for the shelter which is used to buy things for the animals as needed. We are working on building an enrichment park for the shelter dogs which will allow them to be more stimulated and utilize their brains rather than sitting inside staring at the walls 24/7. I hope that answers your question.
