Lesli D Chandler I started going to her years ago and Michael switched with me then. Sadly she has merged her practice with DeKalb Medical Center and mike's last visit cost us over $200. I hate to change but this is outrageous.

Hi all. I have an injury related question. I had a pretty Nasty crash the Wednesday before last. I broke my fall with my hand and tore up my palm. I hurt my wrist too...
Dan M. replied:
Try The Primary Care Center in Sandy Springs on Roswell Rd. They do urgent care, have x-ray on site and your co-pay will be the same as you pay to see your primary care doctors. Many insurance plans charge a higher co-pay if you use a traditional urgent care clinic.

North Atlanta Urgent Care at 2700 Clairmont Road have treated me right in past
Beth G. replied:
Call an Ortho in the morning. Try ugwonali or mccollam at Peachtree Ortho or anyone at Georgia hand shoulder and elbow
Mark L. replied:
Don't go to an ER unless you want to wait for hours and end up with an enormous bill. You'll be seen immediately in an urgent care center. I can recommend Physicians Immediate Medical on Clairmonte near North Druid Hills, but check with your insurance and see what's in network. Urgent Cares are perfectly equipped to manage this sort of thing. If you have full range of motion with it that's a good sign but you may have a tiny fracture. Bones in the wrist are really small and fractures can sometimes be missed, even on x-rays. Take some Ibuprofen or another NSAID, ice it, elevate it, and try to move it after it gets numb in the meantime. Let me know how it turns out. Good luck!
Beth G. replied:
For future reference Peachtree Ortho has a Saturday sports injury walk in clinic at their Buckhead location which I've unfortunately needed in the past!!
