I am a retired electrician. If you know how to work a screwdriver and a pair of pliers you don't need an electrician. First, locate your electrical panel and open the door. You'll see a circuit breaker that will be labeled main. Throw the switch, your power should be off now to the house. To be sure the power is off plug in something to the outlet and make sure it won't work. Once you are sure that the powers off remove the cover plate to the outlet. You'll see the two screws that secure the outlet to the box. The outlets cruise will remain on the outlet. Pull the outlet straight out of the box. You will see 3 wires. One wire will be black or red, one wire will be white, one wire will be green or it will be bare copper. To Remove these wires from the outlet. Loosen the screws on the side and remove the wire. If the wire will not come out you'll have to cut the wire as close to the outlet as possible. Strip your wire so that 3/8 of an inch of barecopper is showing. Installation is the reverse of demolition. While you have the outlet removed spray ant killer into the box.Iuse RAID. That should keep them out of your box. Don't forget to turn your power back when you are done. Use the same test as you did before to be sure you're hot. Easy Peasy Japaneasy

I just had that problem and a time before, put out terro liquid and bait. They come by the hundreds and eat it and take it back to the nest. Works Great.

Hot Shot Ant & Roach gel. It comes in a big syringe. Put a small dab in the places where you see them. They will be gone by morning and you won't see them again for several months or longer. Don't waste your $$ on a pest control service that will try to talk you into monthly service.
Looking for recommendations for a pest control service to do a pest inspection on a home for sale. Honest and trustworthy. Anyone have experience with this?
Crap. It appears we have a mouse problem in our attic. The good news: they're not in my house, but I was just awakened by the sound of chewing or munching-up above....
