Went to the hairdresser in an asian mall and came out with something resembling a bowl cut. It was horrific. Room 104 fixed it for me.

His place is pretty good: http://www.draganahairstylist.co.nz On High Street in the CBD.

I go to Just Cuts or Shearing Shed. I just get a simple clippers cut but somehow they still manage to fuck it up half the time. Do not recommend for anything complicated.

Go to 'Barber on Shortland', on Shortland st. $35 for a very good cut. It's well established, owner operated, lots of regulars. Highly recommended.

Went to Room 104 for the first time yesterday after reading a previous thread. Just said to the guy that i just wanted something simple that went with my beard/face. He did a great job, very happy with it. The free drink was a nice touch as well. Def recommend them.

N&A Barbers in Grey Lynn. One for the more 'island' style cuts but they are fantastic for a yarn, are really creative and energetic and the place has a great community feel. Plenty of families go there and the lads know all the kids names and treat them well. Fridays is beer day plus they usually have sport on.

When I used to live in North Shore, I went to www.oblique.co.nz in Takapuna and they are very good and friendly. I have recommended a few people to go to them and they are happy too.

I use a particular hairdresser at Rodney Wayne in Albany. Took me ages to find someone who could make my hair look good, and I only ever use her. If she's sick or away, then I reschedule.

Eden Barbers next to the powerstation are great for $30..
Straff replied:
It depends how much you want to pay. I've tried most of the hairdressers in the city, and the one I'd recommend the most is Matt at the Barkers High Street. He ran Menswork down at the Viaduct (kinda the first 'hip' guy's hairdresser. Room 104 is also good, French Revolver not so.
CloudSorrow replied:
Question about Room 104. Is there a particular person thats good I should book to get a haircut? Also, would they be the right people to suggest me a hairstyle based off my face?. Its a bit risky but i'm willing to try new hairstyles
