I totally forgot about sending you some directions from the wonderful world of the interweb too ... (and some others may find this usefull) I think all these guys are nz based so faster shipping: Beautiful natural linens similar to what armstreet uses and cotton prints, expensive but worth it http://www.boltofcloth.com Fabric store has an outlet in welly, and i believe somewhere in auckland too, good for dressy, floaty fabrics and fancy linings, and being at the top of winter they will have some good wools - http://www.thefabricstore.co.nz Another expensive one, but their beaded lace is to die for - spent over a k here making a tutu n_n http://www.centrepointfabrics.co.nz/ CP is also an industrial quantity supplier but their upholstery imports are very delicious. http://www.charlesparsons.com/products/ And these guys tend to sell in fats, so be careful, but the damask prints can sometimes be used pretty tastefully and some of the stripes are great for steampunky things - http://bytheyard.myshopify.com , http://stitchbird.co.nz , As for imports, http://spandexworld.com/ is exactly as amazing as it says on the tin, http://www.richardthethread.com is everything you ever need for victorian (and other) reproductions, and http://www.nftech.com has the gawjus furs i was talking about, as for buying fabrics keep your eye out on fabric.com , ali trader and amazon etc for shipping deals or sales Yay for being (eventually) helpfull n_n F2F is often full of better deals than the interweb tho - i often take note of what i want online and then go to the stores to try find a better price - if you're buying lots (i will often just buy the roll) they will sometimes match or better the price if you haggle. Spotlight is about the only place ive found that will tell you to go away.
