Green Tiger House is really great! We stayed there in January and loved it. Great restaurant and food too! https://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g293917-d6539814-Reviews-Green_Tiger_Vegetarian_House-Chiang_Mai.html

Kamala's Guesthouse near the Thaphae Gate is good value. Private bath, air con, free wifi, great location. 400-500 baht in the low season.

Trigong Residence on Sriphum Soi 1, and Sriphum House further down on Sriphum Soi 1 both nice, clean - great location, and 500B budget should be okay for both I guess

Not to hijack this post but I did an airbnb in Bangkok this May. Would anyone say just do airbnb again for Chiang Mai or stick with a hotel?
Western Tokyo hotel recommendation for adult and teenager I’ll be traveling in August with my 15-year old transgendered son to do some sightseeing. Can anyone...
laika_cat replied:
Failing to see why your son's gender identity is relevant **unless** you're looking to go to an onsen. No hotel will turn you away because you have a trans child. The number of beds per room depends on which type of room you book and which hotel you choose. A very basic and cursory exploration of available hotels on a site like Booking.com, Hotels.com, Priceline etc. would tell you this. These sites also have reviews. This is a super low-effort post.

I've stayed at Hotel Gracery in Shinkjuku (the one with the giant godzilla on it) and it was well below ¥20000 a night. It's decent. And yes, they have 'twin' rooms there ('double' usually refers to one bed for two people).

Recommendations for a Disney Springs area hotel? We are taking a short trip in August and decided to fly instead of drive so I need a hotel for one night before we check...

Sometimes you will find that the Value resorts run deals that may be cheaper/as cheap as the regular hotels in the area. Plus, staying on property ups your FastPass window by a day.

We've stayed at the Holiday Inn by DS multiple times. It's a really nice hotel. It's very clean, has friendly staff, and it's within walking distance to DS. It's also pretty cheap, compared to surrounding hotels.
daloosecannon replied:
Not near DS but I love the Springhill Suites at Flamingo crossing. It's on the opposite side of disney but the road it's on is almost a straight shot onto property and the route is very low traffic. Reasonable priced and very nice rooms.

If you're going for a cheap and simple place to stay, try the galleria palms just outside of Disney springs. My family and I stayed this year and enjoyed it so much we went back a a few weeks later.

If you're just needing a place to check-in, sleep, and check-out, then don't bother staying at a "resort" on Hotel Plaza Blvd as you will pay a resort fee and parking fee. Just go right down the road to Palm Parkway or Vineland Ave (both maybe a 5 min drive to Disney Springs) and take your pick. There's a Hyatt Place right there and a couple different Marriotts to choose from. Some will include breakfast as well and all are reasonably priced with no resort/parking fees, except for in the Marriott Village I believe it's like $10 to park.. but there are other Marriotts right there that are free (stayed at the Courtyard 2 weeks ago). We're staying at the Fairfield Inn outside of the village in a few weeks for a quick weekend.

We stayed at the Hyatt Place Lake Buena Vista last February. We were perfectly happy with it. But for your specific purpose, I wonder if something further from Disney/ closer to the airport might be a better option.
ProjectEchelon replied:
I've stayed several times at the [Hilton Orlando LBV - Disney Springs](http://www3.hilton.com/en/hotels/florida/hilton-orlando-lake-buena-vista-disney-springs-area-ORLDWHH/index.html) not to be confused with an almost identially-named hotel across the street. The LBV property recently got a pedestrian bridge installed in its back yard that deposits you right onto Disney Springs. I also like their breakfast (free for Hilton Gold) and their pool is quite nice - not to mention their poolside drinks and food!

You might be able to get a decent deal at the Hyatt in the airport.

If you're bringing the family, have you checked homeaway and vrbo? Island park is a cabin town about an hour and a half north with lots of hotel and cabin rentals, might check those, could still travel to IF for the event and visit Yellowstone the next day. I did hear that IF hotels are fully booked.
