We like naturefirstpest.com! They are great and their solutions don't ruin the environment. Had great success with ant resolution through them. :)

If it's ants I highly recommend Tempo. Spray yourself around perimeter of building. Buy it at Wilbur Ellis in Woodburn. They track it back to nest and kill other ants. Q tip swab in problem areas on interior.

I used Alpha Eco once and while the tech was spraying and setting bait down I jotted down the names of the two baits that he used, a sugar based clear liquid and a protein granule. I then spent about $50 to buy them myself online so I wouldn't have to keep having them come out. I haven't seen any ants in my house for about two months now and we had them Really bad (the little sugar ants). It did however take about a month off and on for them to kill themselves off completely taking the bait back to the nest. The two products I used are Advion Ant Bait Gel and Advance 375A Select Granular Ant Bait. I bought them from www.domyownpestcontrol.com they are both environmentally friendly and safe for pets\family etc. although they don't advise purposely eating it.

As Elerina mentioned, Nature First Pest Control is a great company. For small Asagi ants, they didn't use anything stronger than Advantage to basically create a barrier from new ants entering our house. This approach did require some patience, but it was best for us since the safety of our cats and dogs was our top priority! 1-Year Guarantee, and a reduced rate for future applications. Contact Randy Whitten or Mike Peterson at (503) 579-3680 - they are very informative and stand behind their service 100%

We have also had a wasp problem every spring/summer around our patio for the past few years. While these native paper wasps are not usually aggressive, I think some of them are the European paper wasps which are more alert and reactive to human activity - and honestly, it's just disruptive to have wasps buzzing around so close to our outdoor eating and entertaining area. So once we saw how effective Nature First Pest Control's ant control strategy has been, we had them out to help us prevent the wasp problem this year. The chemical they use is essentially the same active ingredients as Advantage flee control that many pet owners use on dogs and cats, so it's 'pet safe'. They sprayed it along the eves and in and under the gutters where the wasps had been nesting. I haven't seen a single wasp since they sprayed two weeks ago. With controlling both ants and wasps, Nature First Pest Control was flexible, timely and reasonably priced. They are focused on safety, prevention and effectiveness. I recommend giving them a call to describe your insect problem and get an estimate!
anyone know of a reasonably priced, local pest control company? I'm just looking for someone to do a once over on the house to kill potential spiders for the winter.
